Ian.dj
Hello All, I'm having major problems with converting AVI files to a dvd format. it reaches 8% then just stops, Any ideas?? I left it on overnight to see if is just a time issue but it ran for 7 hours at 8%. All of my video is record and tranSfered to my Comp in a AVI file. I suppose i could use Windows DVD maker, but i'd prefer to use roxio. In the old roxio there was a divx to dvd option. Anyone else sufering this problem?? gi7omy
First of all, update your video drivers to the latest version and also update DirectX to the latest from MS Then, try it in stages: Import the avi file to videowave export that to MyDVD 'burn' to an image file Use the image to make the DVD Let us know how that works
Ian.dj
What device are you using to 'record and transfer' these files? I was using Roxio Convert and copy. I now have to use Window DVD creator. Which is not why i bought Roxio
ggrussell
Video Copy & Convert is not designed to 'record' so I'm still a bit puzzled as to what you are trying to do. Plus you didn't say what device you are using. Prehaps if you give us more details step by step.

Why is it that Roxio have gone from a great product to a poor product? How can that happen. Why Would you take out Divx to DVD Function.

I would like to place this onto a dvd. I the click copy and convert to transfer, Pick the file, Place a DVD in the burner Click transfer to DVD. This then starts and at 8% stops. Your first posts imply you have DivX files. Now you say your files are from your camcorder and camcorders do not create AVI files nor do they make DivX files… We would like to help but your info is too vague for anyone to get a clear picture. Start with the camcorder – make & model. Describe in detail how you get 'files' from it to your PC etc. Keep going until you reach the point where it stops.
