I've had great success using Toast 9 to burn my HD videos in BluRay quality on DVD's and playing them on my series 1200 and 1400 Samsung BluRay players - until yesterday. Yesterday, I upgraded to firmware version 2.4 on my Samsung 1200 series BluRay player. It will no longer read my BluRay DVD's. I called Samsung tech support and they basically told me "tough luck". I was informed that page 7 of my manual stated this format was not supported. "I must have just been lucky that it ever worked", he said. "What?" I replied, " but over 30 different BluRay quality DVD's I burned using Toast 9 worked until I updated to your latest firmware." Still no sympathy, just a cold "That is the way it is. I can do nothing for you." Just wanted to get the word out. There will never be a Samsung product in my life again. Did I mention Sony supports this format in their latest firmware.
