john_binhammer
Was a solution ever found for this? I just replaced my HP C6180 with an HP c309a. This new printer has the blank squares when printing from Photosuite. I spent 5 hours on the phone with HP trying to resolve this and they are blaming Roxio. I have tried with the printer hooked up via USB/Wired Ethernet/Wireless and the result is always the same. Roxio leaves blank squares. I can send the same photo to Epson RX580... no blank squares. I think it is an HP error, but seeing someone else haveing the same problem makes me suspicious that it may be a Roxio issue. The problem occurs on both my Vista Laptop (Creator 2009) and my XP Desktop (Creator 2010). If anyone found a solution, I'd really love to hear it. Jim_Hardin
Thanks for the updated info. Frankly I don't think I have ever printed from PhotoSuite before??? Just tried mine to my HP8250 and it came through without any squares spots other defects. I would suggest you check with HP for any updated drivers. I would also try it with a hardwire connection to that printer rather than the wireless. Also I would try both connections from Windows MS Paint program. I cannot see any reason why it would leave a data hole in the printing.
jeanrosenfeld
You didn't by any chance use the tools (mask/cutout by shape) available in photosuite to cut out the square in your photo??
gi7omy
As no-one has made any response to this issue in almost 2 years (5th December 2008), it's a logical assumption that it was resolved You did check for updated drivers as per the last suggestion? john_binhammer
Certainly did. Even let HP take over my system for a few hours. They are pointing the finger at Roxio. (No Surprise there)

I cannot see any reason why it would leave a data hole in the printing. I have checked w/HP.I don't think hardwire will help since the data hole appears in the print preview. Also, parts of Roxia work ok.It is only in edit photo that I have a problem. This only causes a problem when I want to change the original photo before printing. You didn't by any chance use the tools (mask/cutout by shape) available in photosuite to cut out the square in your photo?? No,I didn't do anything to change the original.I just purchased Roxio and was getting used to the program.I can print an original from other parts of the program ok.Problem only occurs when I want to edit whether I edit it or not.
