Separate Native Sound From Video?

Grr, the more I learn how to do in this program the more I find that I don't know how to do. I would like to separate/capture a bit of native sound from a video and use it as a sound effect for a different video. So far between Videowave and Sound Editor I haven't found a way to do this. Anyone? <_<

If you have Videowave opened, click the media Selector. Navigate to the folder where the video clip is located and right click on that video file. Select Extract Audio. That should create a file of the audio only of the video file.

So easy, I feel dumb. Thank you.
