Problem Burning Video Captured From Analog Video Camera

RegularGuy

Question

I have recently upgraded to Creator 2009 to be able to capture video from my old analog video camera.

The capture process has been perfect, and the AVI files can be easily watched and edited from within the Creator 2009 software suite. Using the captured video, I am able to easily burn a DVD without Menus, but if it try to burn a DVD with a Menu the software hangs up during the "Encoding Menu" portion of the process - every time.

Here is what is interesting... I am successful when I try to burn a DVD with a Menu using a simple low-quality AVI video file shot on my Digital (still) camera. It is almost like the software knows i'm trying to make a DVD out of my old analog source material and it hangs up, but when I use an AVI that started from a digital source it works.

I'm really running out of ideas after following instructions to reinstall the software and update video drivers, etc. Has anyone experienced this issue before, and if so what should i do next?

Thanks! :)

Your suggested change worked perfectly, and the speed is about 2x as fast as it was going before when it didn't work. Final DVD's look great and i'm now excited again about converting these tapes to digital.

Many thanks for the helpful tip! Have a great holiday.

In MyDVD, click on Tools, then Options, then click in the circle to the left of Software, under Render With, then click Apply or OK.

Now try your burn.
