Mydvd Locks On Encoding

mark brittain

Question

I have been sucsesfully using creator 10 for some time. I edit my vidoe clips in videowave and then insert the dmsm files using "add new movie" in myDVD. I then go to burn as usual and the application locks in the during the encoding process. I have inserted 4 movies in total. Thinking that one of the movies was corrupted a tried inserting one movie and still get the same problem. I have tried inserting all the movies indvidualy and get the same sympton a system lock during stage 1 of the encoding process. Can anyone help ?

Hi guys, I reinstalled Roxio 10 but the problem remained.

I have now found out what the issue was and I’ll mention it in case anyone else encounters the problem.

It lay in the individual movies the DMSM files. What I did not realise was when I trimmed a piece of video Roxio automatically inserts a split. I was subsequently inserting a split at this point so I had 2 splits very close together and sandwiched between the two splits was a few frames of video. When I applied the transition theme the whole area was concealed by what appeared to be one transition.

It all seemed fine in VideoWave however when I compiled the DVD in My DVD Roxio just kept falling over every time it encountered these multiple splits during the burn process.

Ah, you didn't run the clean (uninstall) install and there are things left on your computer.

Follow these instructions exactly. Scroll down for XP instructions.
