Camcorder Dvd Copy

My question may sound stupid to some but I am unsure which product to purchase. What I am trying to do is take my camcorder dvd's (which are 8m) and convert them all to standard dvd's. Hopefully taking out the chapters/stop points or being able to edit it in the program. I currently have EMC 7 basic which came with my Plextor 755. With this I am able to import the dvd video but it does not support the ac3 audio. I also have photsuite platinum 7 program for pics. So do I get 1 program to do both or just 1 for dvd's. Could someone please clear this up for me?

Thanks

Tom

The full version of the suite does have the AC3 abaility and also add chapter marks, so, yep, you can do it

You have an OEM (cut-down) version of 7 (latest is 2009 aka 11) and the OEMs didn't have the AC3 capability

If your computer specs are able to support an OEM Version of EMC 7, they can probably also support the Full Version. You can often pick up old Vesions on eBay or similar from someone selling off their used copy.

EMC 7 was a good one, but doesn't have the ability to do 16:9. EMC 8 is NOT recommended. For EMC 9 or 10 or Creator 2009 (V.11), first check the system requirements against your computer. If there are also Vista requiremnts, ignore the WinXP set because they are so low as to be a joke - you don't need to have Vista, but you do need that much RAM and CPU.

Thanks everyone for your input. I will check out creator 2009 requirements and compare.
