Dvds Get Rejected

I have a DVD that I created an image of. However, everytime I try to burn this image to a DVD, it rejects it and tells me to insert a blank DVD. These DVDs are brand new and blank. I just used this software to create and image and burned that image to one of these DVDs with no issues. I am confused as to why I am getting this message now. Is there something different I need to be doing?

.gi is the normal default for video dvd images - what size is that being reported as on the hard drive?

 

Also, did you try just double clicking on the .gi file and let Roxio try to resize it automatically?

Possibly a bad batch if discs. Have you tried burning onto a disc from a different pack /spindle? Can you successfully preview the image prior to burning?

What kind of image? In what application did you use to create the image? In what application are you trying to burn the image to a DVD?

And what size is the image? Is the program asking for a blank DL DVD ??

I am using Roxio Easy Media Creator 10.0 LJ

 

Not sure what kind of image. It's DVD of a some footage I shot and I just used the Create Image feature in this software. When I go to burn that image the file extension appears to be a ".gi" file.

 

 

What kind of image? In what application did you use to create the image? In what application are you trying to burn the image to a DVD?

Ok. I am also discovering that Roxio will only let my create an image in a ".gi" format, not ".iso" for this particular DVD. Not sure why....but could this be the problem?
