Creator 2009 System Power Cycling

wayneg

Question

I purchased Creator 2009 SE which came with the USB Capture Device. Creator 2009 was working fine for creating DVDs from video files and the like. However, as soon as I installed the Capture Device drivers the system started locking up. Unable to terminate programs from Task Manager. Now the system will not boot at all. Not even in safe mode. I am running Windows XP SP3 on an Intel dual, 4 gb ram, 320gb SATA drive, ATI pcix video.

I have purchased Roxio products in the past and had no problem whatsoever with them. This is really turning me off to Roxio/Sonic. A bug here and there I can understand. But having a driver crash a system??

I am going to perform a new install of XP since the system will not boot at all. Any information on the capture device drivers would be appreciated. Also, anyone else that has experienced this problem and has found out a fix.

Thanks

Most likely you installed the wrong drivers.

Question: Do you know if the drivers were tested with XP SP3?

The driver disk I received is the correct one. But I had no problems at all until I installed the drivers for the USB Capture Device.

Another question... Since "I" installed the wrong drivers, where did I go wrong? Inserting the driver CD or clicking "Driver Installation"?
