Audio Quick Find Window Disappeared

burner99

Question

I'm running Windows Vista and using Roxio Creator 9.0. I had the Audio app open and I was sorting music in Windows Explorer and apparently Quick Find didn't like it. Creator froze up and I shut it down. I tried opening it back up several times but while the quick find window was scanning for music it would lock up again. It finally found all my music and seemed to work OK for a few days and then I went to open it up a few days ago and it crashed on opening and gave me an error saying some applications were shut down due to errors. Now my Quick Find window is gone and I can't get it back. I tried reloading the software but still no quick find. Anybody have this happen?

Something in the back of my memory tells me that EMC 9 would work with Vista but was not certified for Vista. I believe that there was an update to EMC 9.1 that tweaked some things. I know that the update did say that there was nothing really changed but, if I remember right, ti did fix some Vista issues.

Are you running any registry cleaner? You may need to do a clean (uninstall/)Install of the program. Make sure your security applications are shut down during installation.
