Unable to play DVD on home system

I recently purchased Popocorn after being pretty happy with Toast 7. Not so happy now. I have been unable to get a single DVD to play on my home system. They play fine on my Mac, but I get a 'U11' error on the DVD player. I've gone through a number of manufactures. I've also tried to use popcorn to make a disk image and then use Toast 7 to burn a disk from the image.

 

Nothing but coasters. Help!

 

 

 

I am using OS X 10.4.6 on a 1.8 GHz G5, 1G ram

So if you compress a DVD with Toast 7 and burn it to the media it works in the DVD player, but if you compress the same DVD with Popcorn 2 it doesn't work? Correct?

Sorry for the confusion - I've never used Toast to compress a DVD before; always used DVD2one. I have now tried to compress using Toast 7 alone and it gives the same error on the DVD player.
