About rolling back the driver - does Windows keep a copy of the old driver indefinitely? What I mean is can you roll back to the previous driver days, weeks or even months after "upgrading" it?

I re-downloaded it from the HP support site for my machine. I have both Dell and HP machines and each of these mfrs have all the current systems drivers and BIOS versions for download on their sites for your specific machine.

Garry,

Bottom line - it could be caused by the NVIDIA video driver. I had to roll it back.

Garry,

I have the same issue with Vista 32, Home Premium. Windows is pegging it to the NVIDIA video driver in my HP machine. Apparently the MS update for the driver has issues. When I reload the current driver listed by HP for my computer - it resolves the system crash. Unfortunately - This error has carried over from EMC 10.

Bottom line - it could be caused by the NVIDIA video driver. The Windows dialog that tells you that your system has recovered from a fatal system error after you reboot will give you a choice to find a solution. In my case it was my video driver and I had to roll it back.

Hope this helps.

JRoz
