Upgrading From Emc 9 To Creator 2009

I have Easy Media Creator 9 on my Windows XP Media PC. I installed Creator 2009 and it didn't uninstall my EMC9. When I go to use Creator 2009 it is so slow that it takes an hour just to load when I am trying to creat a Video Slide Show. Anyway I was having issues running C 2009 so I uninstalled it. Do I need to uninstall EMC9 befor installing Creator 2009? Please let me know what I need to do to get Creator 2009 working properly.

A lot of us have had problems if 2009 was installed with earlier versions.

 

You would be better doing the clean (un)install routine as laid out in the pinned posts and run one or the other

Also, after installing 2009, go to msconfig, and uncheck any Roxio service that is running, such as Roxwatch.

 

Click Apply, ok, then reboot, and put a check in the lower left corner of the pop-up box that comes up after you reboot.
