Question About Emc10

creslevi

Question

Last summer I bought the upgrade from EM9 to EM10 and have never been able to get it all running, The only thing that's ever worked is Disk Copy and it works great !.

I have done the clean install a couple times and still get the following error messages

#1 Codec MPEG-2 must be activated before using the appliction, I click OK and it comes back with ERROR # 2 NO PERMISSION bad Installation, all you can do is click OK, But it gives you no idea about how to fix it !! ???.

ERROR # 3 Runtime error

Program:...iles\roxio shared\10.0\sharedcom\Roxwizardlauncher10.exe

This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.

please contact the application support team for more information

Now this weekend I thought I would try to solve it but guess what Cust/Serv is closed

My question is, if this product was ready for sale, Why all these problems, according to all the advertising this stuff is all plug & play.

They have my money but I still have no program, This is very frustrating, you are not supposed to have to be a programer technician to install this stuff.

Does anyone have asolution to these 3 error messages

I also bought Cineplayer before I got EMC 10 and find it's part of it !.

Any help will be greatly appreciated I don't know where else to turn.

Merry Christmas Rick

Hi,

I can't seem to get very much of it, at all, to install. I've tried the clean install several times. I'm about to give up on it. I'm using Windows Vista Home Prem. I'm wondering if EMC 10 is compatible afterall? I think Roxio needs to come up with a solution pretty soon, as I've been trying to get this Easy Media Creator 10 Suite to work since Christmas Eve. I'll bet that I'm NOT the only one with this problem...

Please start anew thread since your problem has no relation to the original posters problem.

BTW, there will not be any more updates to EMC 10 since the latest version is now Roxio Creatpr 2009. EMC 10 is completely compatible with Vista

Hi Randy Thanks for the reply.

I am certain we are not the only one's having trouble with EMC10, None of these companies seem to want to talk to anyone anymore, I do think I now have a clean install after printing out the instructions and following them very closely, But still have problems every time I open EMC 10, I think it's a long way from being user friendly, and if you have a problem on a weekend forget it no one is there to help !.

Sad to say all these companies seem to lose interest in customer contact beyond the self service aspect and then you get instructions that sometimes seems like they think we are all computer engineers, very disappointing, They may be saving a buck by outsourecing the printing of manuals and services but they are killing their customer base slowly but surely, They are harder to talk to than your Doctor which is a big joke every time I see on TV someone say Talk to your Doctor, NO ONE WANTS TO TALK ANYMORE, But that'sjust the cost of doing business, and they don't seem to understand that.

Good Luck with your program, Wish I had something positive to add.

Rick
