Customer Support Or Lack Thereof

GRPDIVER

Question

Am I throwing good money after bad to buy Roxio Creater 2009? I purchased Creater 9 about nine months ago and it didn't work. I attributed it to having an older PC. I bought a new PC and now Creater 9 does not detect my drive. I've gone through several steps described in the discussion boards and Dell technical support tried to troubleshoot the problem. (Amazing technical support from Dell because not once did I hear that it was not their software, so they coun't help. If you are listening Roxio, a good model for customer service.) Pat from Roxio customer service told me he would get me a refund, but didn't. Roxio technical support refuses to provide any support except to go to discussion boards. So, I am supposed to get help from other users because Roxio doesn't care if my product works or not. Roxio doesn't even keep its own knowledge base current. From the looks of things, there are a lot of users having problems.

I'm told that the problem is issues between iTunes and Roxio. Guess which one has more users? Roxio needs to fix its software.

All I want to do is burn DVDs from TIVO and Roxio is the only company that TIVO identifies as having compatible software. Are there any other software compatible with TIVO? Does Creater 2009 work on Vista with Dell DVD burner and iTunes?

Creator 2009 was not available nine months ago. Do you mean emc9? Confusion between these 2 names abounds. I'd be surprised if a Roxio employee said you could get a refund many months after a purchase, corporate policy is 30 days.

What specific problems are you experiencing? What programs are you using and how is it not working. Specifics, including those of your pc, help users here trouble shoot.
