I just downloaded C 2009 and ran into all the frustration and such that is described in this forum.
All the help here is tremendous - so after piecing it all together for a success rate of 90+ percent, the steps below are what is required to assure it installs properly and that ALL of the applications are available in the main program:
For a C 2009 installation (No other EMC Versions)
1. Perform the clean (un)install "exactly" as described in the forum per your particular OS (Include disabling all Virus & Firewall software)
3. Uninstall .Net Framework 3.5, 3.0 - (If coming off an already botched C2009 installation) (use msicuu2.exe or Uninstall from OS Remove Programs) and make sure .Net 2.0 with no service pack(s) installed. I used this utility to clean mine http://astebner.sts.winisp.net/Tools/dotne...leanup_tool.zip - - I also had to download .Net version 2.0 from Microsoft and install it.
4. Install/Reinstall C2009 "Main Program File/Disk" - follow all screen prompts (may want to run the main program and test for all applications)
