Saving Projects

stoves1

Question

When I create an project in videowave, what are the exact steps to save it and open it in mydvd to add a menu? Also Each time I try to save it , it only lets me save it to a folder and not to my media. Which is fine because I just save it to the desk top but I notice my media is probably where it needs to go..

Thankks in advance.

Actually, you should make a separate folder, on your hard drive, and name it something like Roxio Projects.

To save your project, in VideoWave, click on File, then on Save or Save As, and make sure you give it a name you will remember. Browse to where you made the new folder, click on it, and click Save.

Next, close VideoWave (Edit Video - Advanced), and open MyDVD (Create DVDs - Advanced), pick whatever Menu you want, then click on Add New Movie, browse to the VideoWave file (XXX.dmsm), click on it, and click on Add.

Make chapters, if you so desire, and whatever other changes you want, then click on the Burn button.

Most of us will uncheck the Burn to Dvd button and burn to an image (.iso) file or a Folder Set. Before you do this, make another folder, with a name that has something to do with your movie.

Click on the Burn button, and once the software goes through its paces, save your project, close MyDVD, and open Video Copy and Convert (Copy and Convert DVD-Video).

Under the Source, click on the dropdown arrow, and select Browse for Disc Image/DVD-Video Folder, browse to the image file that you just made, and click on it. Click OK, then click on the Copy Now button. Make sure that you have a DVD in your burner.

You can save the Videowave file with any given name you want and it will always have a "DMSM" file extension. And you can save it to any folder you choose on your computer. Best suggestion though is to always save the dmsm files to the same folder here all the photos are that you used in your production.

Once save to the folder of your choice, open up MyDVD and click on "Add New Movie" (one of the options on the left side of the screen) and go to the folder where you saved your Videowave project and click on it. When the Videowave project comes up in MyDVD, you can have all kinds of options there to edit certain things, etc.

Once you have completed doing what you want with it in MyDVD save it with a name of your choice(File extension will always be "DMSD") and as previously suggested, save it to the same folde where you saved your Videowave project and all other photos etc. That way, everything will always be in one folder if you should want to edit anything.
