Ac3 File Problem

tpfeffer

Question

Hey all,

Just downloaded Toast 9 yesterday to burn an HD class film project. The project is roughly 16:00 mins and shot in 720p24. I exported from compressor using HD DVD best quality. The result, as most of you know, was two separate files m2v and ac3.

Now the reason why I bought toast was so I could mux the two together, something that IDVD does not do for you. The only problem is Toast recognizes the m2v file but not the ac3.

Am I doing something wrong? I have tried several times in different formats and still receive the same errors. It is important that I keep the best DVD burning quality in mind because the footage is ridiculous.

Any suggestions before I try to get my money back?

TP

The way to do this is to drag only the .m2v file to the Toast Video window. Toast will automatically add the .ac3 file if it is located in the same folder and has the same name except for the extension. If Toast can't find the audio file a window will open asking you to locate it. You can see that the audio is included by reading the specs that appear along with the video in the Video window.
