i have been having a lot of problems with videowave... playback videos are very choppy and cant seem to keep up. so today i took my tower to the computer store to get some much needed upgrades... nvidia n9800gt 512mb graphics card, 600w power supply, and we added 2gb for a total of 4gb. get home, open videowave, open prduction i have been working on and its still playing the same way it was before.. after all that improvement to my system, its still not playing correctly.

what could be the problem?

When is it playing choppy? In the preview, in a final video file, on DVD? Video under preview is not indicative of what the final result will be.

oh well thats good to know. actually, ever since i posted this topic, it has played beautifully. im talking about in videowave during editing, so i guess you would call it preview.

Under preview the video to be rendered and played back at the "same" time so "choppiness" is not unexpected. Output a 5 minute production to bext quality mpeg and play it using Windows Media Player and see if you still get the choppiness.
