Burning Tivo Downloads To Blu-ray

ADG

Question

Once I transfer an HD program from Tivo to my PC (using Tivo Desktop) it is in a .tivo file format. I'd like to be able to burn the program to disk using the blu-ray burner on my pc. I have EMC 10. Is there a fairly easy way to do this? Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Well then, be happy. I have the disk in my hand and it reads: Roxio Creator Premier Blu-ray 10.2. It is clearly an OEM product from Dell - and it has been discussed elsewhere in these forums - but it is an "official" Roxio CD nonetheless.

Look, I'm not sure how we got so far off topic. All I'm asking is if anyone here has had any success burning a HD tivo file to blu-ray. Without further arguments about my system or available EMC versions, would it be possible to just get an answer to that question? Thank you.

I've used both Creator 2009 & Toast 9.04 to burn HD Tivo to blu-ray.

In all cases the blu-ray burns have all had pixelization issues on playback on a Panny bd-30 even though the original file plays perfectly on both the tivo and my computer.

I tried using VideoReDo to convert the Tivo file to mpeg2 and then burn it with Creator 10.2 and it never actually burns to the dvd even though the program seems to indicate that it is burning. I've just purchased Nero 9 and will try with that.

I don't think 10 supports Blu-Ray - 2009 does.

Also, there have been quite a number of reported problems with tivo files

In addition to my retail version of 10, Dell supplied an oem version that supports blu-ray. Problems aside, any know how to do this? Thanks.

Before doing anything else - download and run this app

If any component fails to make the grade, you won't be able to anyway

I'm running a high powered system. Look, all I need is help knowing how to do what it is I want to do. If you can't provide that please stop responding. Thank you.

It doesn't matter what kind of high-powered system you have since EMC 10 does not burn to BlueRay. How can Dell supply you with a OEM EMC 10 version if Roxio does not have one? Nobody has ever heard of such a version. I am sure would all be happy to hear we are wrong.

As you seem unwilling to even tell us if your system CAN run Blu-Ray, there's opbviously nothing we can do or say here that will assist

You were asked to run a simple test and let us know the results - you can't even accomplish that

Dell is Dell - go ask at their forum seeing you don't like answers here
