Can't Burn Any Dvds At All--please Help

falstaff

Question

I bought and installed Toast 9 this morning.

All I'm trying to do is burn some MPEG videos to DVD. There shouldn't be any DRM issues.

I have a brand-new Intel-based iMac running OS 10.5.5 I've installed every OS update Apple has sent me.

I have tried more than a dozen times to burn a very simple DVD --- one single large MPEG video, ~ 1.5 G.

Every time I try to make a DVD, Toast works just fine, until the coding reaches 99% complete. Then the program freezes for 3 to 5 minutes, and finally gives this error message:

"Could not record the disk because of a Mac OS error. Result code = 9011"

WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?????

Please help.

I'm not sure what the problem is but you might click Edit and click the button in the window that appears to launch the video in the Toast Video Player. It will take a couple minutes for the video to open, but once there you can set the in and out point of an edit marker a few seconds at the end of the video. Choose Save and Toast will now leave off those last few seconds.
