The only thing that I know causes problems when burning from a VIDEO_TS folder is when the folder is missing some of its original content. For example, a ripped DVD needs to be done as a full disc extraction.

 

Something you might try instead is the following: Choose DVD video as the format in the Video window. Place the VIDEO_TS folder on the desktop and choose DVD with the top button of the Toast Media Browser. Drag what appears in the browser window to extract the MPEG video files. When that is complete set up a menu the way ou want and burn your DVD.

Uhm, not to be rude but I don't really want to do that. I want the original DVD to be preserved. I've done this quite a few times before this happened, so I'm just trying to determine what went wrong now that's causing this problem, whether it's a hardware issue with my macbook or something regarding Toast.
