Error Code

kdds

Question

I'm not the one that posted the original problem but I'm getting the same "8004520c error while endocding movie" msg when trying to burn my slideshow. When ready, in Videowave, I click on the "burn with MyDVD" icon and then when that opens I just go ahead and click on the Burn, Finish....etc button (whatever the button says....don't have it open right this moment) to get it going. After a few minutes this error box is popping up. This is my first project and sure hope someone out there can help me. My folks are in their late 70's and us kids are trying to do a tribute to them.

Thanks for any help ahead of time.

Dear KDDS,

I feel ur pain. Many times I get stumped after doing exactly as I'm told w/software &/or hardware, but in this case there is an easy solution. You don't need to buy anything, I don't think. Your video card likely is fine. The complexity of your project, transitions, is not the problem either. However, sometimes Roxio(all versions) has problems rendering if the "initial to open" Roxio is open along with Roxio VideoWave, etc. Long story short...CLOSE the initial Roxio. Open the Roxio project directly from My Computer or Windows Explorer. Then do the usual DVD Express.....The puppy will burn, I "Garytee it." :D

Gary: your advice is not correct…

The programs are intended to be launched from the Home app. This is more true with Creator 2009 than ever before and you do not have to close anything.

And in this case the progression from VW to MyDVD express is also by design.

What you suggest won't hurt anything but it isn't the way things need to be done either.
