Toast And Making A Back Up Of A Movie?

Pauley

Question

I am still using Toast 8.01 as I have not been able to get Toast 9 to record a back up of a movie I have made from the TV. Under toast 8.0.1 I just put the dvd in and it asked me how many copys to make. Under Toast 9 it will not see the dvd. I can get it to make a backup If I do a complete work around. Which is a pain. I have contacted Roxio about this and they say there is nothing wrong and that it must be my system. I have 10.0.5 and use Tectools Pro on it and everything is A OK. This is why I am still using 8.0.1 as I can just put the dvd in a click record and it makes a copy

Thanks for your help

Merry Christmas

Pauley

Toast 9 does this the same as Toast 8 so I don't know what's wrong in your case. Be sure to download the Toast 9.0.4 update (you also should download the Toast 8.04 update, by the way).

All I can say is to choose the Copy window, choose Disc Copy and when the inserted disc shows up make the copy the same as in Toast 8.

Does the button in the disc copy window show the name of the drive you're using for the source disc, such as "Built-in DVD-RW/CD-RW." If you have multiple DVD drives maybe it is looking at the wrong drive? Also, make sure Toast 8 isn't open.
