wdeoring
Roxio 6.x Updater appears to be stuck during the download process. It starts at 2% and after many hours never budges. I downloaded a new engine from the web but the remaining 5 updaters are doing the same thing. I dont see anywhere in Roxio support where you can download updates to anything but the main engine. Any solutions??
willatrox
If you go to the main Roxio website, www.roxio.com and click on Support, you will see the Software Updates section just below Ask Roxanne. All of the updates for Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 can be manually downloaded from this location. William

I did that for tha main engine and we are now at 6.2.x and now that upgrade does not apppear in my upgrade options. If I choose any of the others, either collectively or singly, I get the same response, STUCK at 2%. I didnt see anywhere on the site where you can manually download modules individually. Also I am running on WinXP Media Center, 2gb ram and 3.8hz processor. I think I have enough horsepower. Any more thoughts. Walt
nagashi777
Same exact problem..... I've noticed that if I start/cancel the update download several times, the update being downloaded DOES change. It's tried to download 8.93e, 8.49e, and maybe one other. Does anyone have a solution for this one yet?

I have no idea what 8.93e and 8.48e are, they could be a OEM version. I also just downloaded the 2.51mb file for 6.1.1.48 no problems.

I dled and installed the latest engine update (134), and it seemed to work; however when i start the program and check the about dialog, it says it's still on version 110. A bug? intended behaviour? In any case, the creator classic updater still doesn't work

In any case, the creator classic updater still doesn't work I have no idea why it its showing version .110 (I dont have version 6 installed)....however, I assume you are having some type of problem and that is why you are trying to update to fix it. If you are NOT having any problems......does it really matter what version you have......its working ( and there has not been any updates for over 2 years for this version). If you are having problems, tell us the problem.

If you are having problems, tell us the problem. I am having similar, but not identical, problems getting updates for my official copy of Version 6, Easy CD & DVD Creator. Reason I tried to update it was because of having problems with Version 6 with my NEW computer that I did NOT have on the previous computer. (Both computer ran Windows/XP for Home.) When I tried to get the updates for the Roxio software, in MY case, the download of the update stalled with this text displayed: 2.77e-003 % Complete Nothing additional happened in the 2 hours that I left it running. Because this Version 6 worked just fine on my previous computer, but doesn't on my new computer, I went to microsoft.com and got all available updates for my Windows/XP Home, thinking maybe the problem was really in Windows. That did not help. Version 6 of Easy CD & DVD Creator does not work, as far as I am concerned. I will go through the maze of Roxio's tech-support people to try to get a human interested in this, but based on what I have read here in this forum, maybe I should be considering switching back to Nero or one of the other similar packages. I have no idea what a "OFFICIAL" copy of Version 6, Easy CD & Dvd Creator is without the EXACT version number, however you might want to try this and we will go from there : Try uninstall/re-install Go into your add/remove programs and remove Roxio.......then use this Roxio utility called Roxizap that you can use to remove all remnants of Roxio/Adaptec software for you. You can get roxizap here: http://tools.roxio.com/support/tools/roxizap.exe Then re-install from your installation disc. If you require any updates they are on the left of this page (Software Updates) make sure you apply the correct one, Basic or Platinum.
