Flv Video File Format

Hello,

 

Will Roxio Creator 2009 supports FLV video file format?

 

I know that Nero 9 supports flv video file format when I create a DVD from multiple video files.

 

I wish Roxio Creator 2009 can support flv video file format as Nero 9 does.

No, you need a third party program to convert those flv files into one of the many Roxio does handle.

I've had good luck with super.

 

When you convert the video files from one format to another, you tend to loose the quality of the picture and the files will increase double in size.

 

I use FLV to AVI MPEG WMV 3GP MP4 iPod Converter to convert the flv files to avi format, and the files increase double in size and the picture quality is not as good as the original flv format.

 

I guess I will stick with Nero 9 instead since it can accept the flv directly without the conversion.

Nero 9 converts the file itself instead of having another program do it first. If you select the right output from the "other" program (DVD mpeg2) the quality will be pretty well the same. The size of output file when converting from flv to another format can be several times the input size. You cannot simplt say they will double in size, it all depends on the output format and quality you choose.
