Several Different Videos

stoves1

Question

I have now got the basic art of creating a video with videowave and adding a menu in mydvd. I have several videos I want to put on one disc(dvd). I only want one main menu where a viewer can select a choice of which video to watch on the disc when the disc is inserted into the dvd player.

How do I accomplish this? :(

Got it figured out. What are internal tracks on the production editor and also I tried to insert THE END on my final panel which I made black, but it said text could not be inserted at that point?
When saving a Videowave or MyDVD project file, NO VIDEO OR AUDIO is saved in these files. The project files are just text files that kep track of your edits and the folder/filenames of any files used. The original video or audio files are not altered in any way. If you move or delte the videoi or audio files, then the application can't find them.

Open MyDVD (Create DVD-Advanced), then click on Add New Movie, browse to the folder where you VideoWave files (.dmsm) are, then add the first one, and repeat the steps for the others.

You will get a separate button or text title for each movie added.

BTW, do you have Creator 2009, or do you have Easy Media Creator 9? There is a 2 version difference between the suites.

The Internal Tracks apply to a single video clip (or panel) in the production editor.

Select the panel you want to use for "The END" then select "internal tracks". Now add the text to the panel. That text will stay with that panel even if you move the panel to another location in your panels sequence.

I would suggest your play around with this feature a bit. The help file is useless in this regard and most of us have learned this stuff by experimenting.

As long as you bought them from itunes w/o the DRM -- a slightly costlier version -- I would think you should have no problem bringing the audio in through the add audio function. If they have DRM, you won't be able to bring them in.

Did you actually delete the video source files that you used in your project? If yes then that project is dead unless you have a backup source for thos deleted files.

Files with the dmsm files are not actual movies (or video files) but only the instructions to create the video file. In myDVD you use them to add a title to the main menu page as a title. Each dmsm file becomes a new title on the menu page. You cannot add another dmsm file to a title.

Please describe in more detail exactly what you are doing.

I created in videowave a few different movies and edited them. I saved them into a folder on my desktop called videowave.I went to browse for them from mydvd so that I could add a menu and burn to a dvd hoping to have multiple movies with one menu to select them from. When I go to add video in mydvd it gives me the pop up that it can not find the files even though I browse the foldres and they are there.

I don't know if it is because the folder is on your desktop, but that is the last place I would put the folder for my productions. I would put that folder, somewhere on my hard drive, that isn't on the desktop.

If you move that folder now, you will have to open VideoWave, and for each production, have VideoWave search for the new location of the files. Then, save the production, to the new folder.

It actually doesn't take that long to do, if you decide to do that.

Hi Bruce

I just read a post http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=44108 and saw where it talked about deleting files in your project deleted them forever. I believe I have done just that, and that is why the .dmsm project shows up in the folder but the actual files can not be located. I was deleting the files I had already edited in the

"show media selector" under tools just so I could purge the pop up window of files I had already edited. Does this make sense? Now the program shows the .dmsm file but nothing in it. As a matter of fact it only has the transistions and background audio. I will go through and read exacly how to save a VW file and a MYDVD file and try not to make the same mistake.

I have creator 2009

I went into mydvd and it tried to add my movies but I kept getting an error that they can not find the files even though I clicked on them by browsing to them

it says they can nto be located at their last known location, I checked and the files have the .dmsm extension.
