Currently using brand-new HP with 320 GB hard drive & 3GB DDR2 memory, has Windows Vista. Just installed EMC 10 but encountering serious problems trying to compile a DVD for Xmas. I recently installed Quicktime 7.5.5 and installed updates from Roxio on EMC.
Files I am using are from personal cameras and not copyrighted. Files are from 3 diff cameras and are in MPEG, .avi & .mov.
Using Roxio Videowave or media manager, I see no video opening .avi clips, but I do have audio. And no audio, but I do have video on the .mov clips.
Using Quicktime - everything is perfect.
Using Windows Media player, .avi appears OK, but the audio is slightly off from the video.
So I obviously have not been able to edit any of my videos because either the audio or video is off. I've searched other forums and help sites without much luck. I have also started a help ticket with Roxio, but it has been a few days without response and I need to finish soon. I can't believe that I am the only one that has had this problem...
Any suggestions would be helpful. If they just aren't compatible, is there a free converter that I can download these files to a different format that Roxio would recognize, edit, and play?
