Programme Errors/crashes/runtime Errors Etc

Masterangler

Question

I am using the latest Sony Vaio VGN-NR32L with Windows Vista Home Premium. I loaded Creator 2009 last Sunday and have had problems with it ever since. I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it again but the problems remain. Sometimes when I am adding photos it will crash. When I have created a Slideshow and want to add to it or edit it will sometimes crash. When adjusting the Zoom on occasions it will simple lock up and say that the function is no longer working. Messages vary from "R6025-Pure virtual function call" to "Runtime Error" messages. I burned a slideshow with audio in HD and the audio is all broken up. Any solutions or ideas. Masterangler

I have also had repeated crashes with Slideshow Assistant when adding pictures. Since this is an intermittent problem I am somewhat hesitant to uninstall the product and reinstall it as other post in this thread suggest. Since its only been installed for 5 days this appears to be the baseline behavior of the app. From Computer Management \Windows Logs\Applications I looked at the last several error logs and each faulted in two different exe/dll combination

RoxWizardLauncher11.exe SlideShowWizard.dll

RoxMediaDB11.exe, MSVCR71.dll

I created a web ticket with tec support and sent them the full fault logs and will post there response.

Recently purchased Creator 2009, and have been trying to install on a new HP laptop running VISTA. The install is good, but on start the program goes to a white screen with blue border and stalls. Is VISTA causing this problem????

Why are you hijacking someone else's thread with an install issue that is totally unrelated to MasterAnglers problem???

Start yourself a New Topic in that forum.

ZZZ - your problem is nothing to do with Masterangler's - it's completely different

Always start a new thread rather than a 'me too'

In your case, go to run and type in msconfig. Then disable any Roxio services in the start up tab. Reboot and click on the 'don't notify me again' bit of the nag screen

Try the pined post at the top to do a Clean Install.

Hi Jim, thanks for your reply, what is "pined post" and where do I find it or "Clean Install"? Over the weekend I tried to edit a Slideshow on several occasions. I was fine tuning the Pam & Zoom on some photos and on every occasion before I had completed all the photos that required attention, I would get a black screen and the following message. "Pam & Zoom Editor (not responding) I am then given the option of either waiting for the problem to be resolved, which it never does, or, close programme. When I exit it I get "Media Manager 11 module is not responding" message. I have had the most frustrating week with Creator 2009, what little hair I still have is in danger of being pulled out by the roots. I am now at the point where I just feel like returning the software for a refund and looking for alternative software. What are your feelings regarding my problems?
