Hello,

 

Hope there is someone out there that can help me with this problem. I am trying to install (with CD)

the Roxio Creator 2009, that I purchased for my wife. I have a new (purchased 8/08) HP TouchSmart with a 32/64Bit system, etc. Anyway, I have tried to install it several times and I keep getting the message "installation encountered a system error, try again later". At this point, I am not sure if I am doing something wrong, or if its the new computer. I am running Windows Vista, if

that means anything. I just use the computer for tracking the news and e-mails. My wife likes to use it for photo's, etc. So, we are not very computer savey, but any suggestion/advice you can provide would really be appreciated.

Can you see where the installer stops? It could be a number of things but there is a KB article found here that helps with one installer problem you can try.

 

 

Thanks for the responce. I went to the C Drive and Windows folder/system32 folder. Unfortunately, "dsetup.dll" is not on the list.

Had the same problem Oct2008 and found a work-around, no thanks to Roxio. Has worked on 2 Vista machines for me. Read the thread at;

That is something that happens if you updated net framework to 3.5 SP1.

 

Uninstall 3.5 and try again - if that still won't work, check here
