Creator 2009

After several clean installs and re-installs I finally succeeded in getting Creator 2009 to work. However, now whenever I launch Microsoft Word 2002 Windows Installer attempts to install Creator 2009. I can cancel out of the installer with two clicks, but would rather not have to deal with it. Other than another clean install and re-install - any ideas for resolution?

Your Microsoft Windows installer has its knickers in a knot. You need to visit the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility page HERE and read the page carefully.

 

Then you need to use the utility to clean up the references in its installer which are giving the problem - in this case Microsoft Word 2002, or perhaps Office 2002. After that you will probably have to reinstall Office 2002, so have your disc(s) handy.
