Videowave 7 hangs when I open folder containing several dvr-ms files

Videowave 7 hangs when I open folder containing several dvr-ms files.

 

It uses 95-99% of CPU cycles while it apparently tries to draw preview icons for all of the video files in the folder. This takes a long time - a couple of minutes for each file, so if I've got a folder with a few files, it can take a long time.

 

Is there a registry edit or some way to turn off the process of previewing the files?

They are files recorded using Microsoft's Media Center.

I don't either, because it is actually a different OS than the plane Jane Windows XP. There are a multitude versions of XP out there now.

Nope. I did not think that VideoWave 7 could open those files. Have you ever got one to open? If not, then my original thought may be correct.
