Video Copy Vhs->avi->dvd

I was given Creator 2009 Special Edition for Christmas. I just copied a 1:05 hour video off a VHS tape using Media Import without any trouble at all. But what I got was a 14.4 GB AVI file, which is 4 DVDs worth, so I must be doing something wrong. What is the recommended method for copying a 2HR VHS tape to DVD ?

You've done nothing wrong. That is the correct size for one hour of DV AVI. Now edit that video using Videowave and save as Production File. You then open MyDVD, add the Videowave production file adn that creates a button on the menu. MyDVD will then render the DV AVI to MPEG 2 and it should have no trouble fitting that on one DVD.

 

2 hours of Video will fit on a single, 4.7GB disc, but with reduced quality. For best quality, use a dual layer 8.5 blank DVD.
