I have connected my receiver to my computer using a RCA jack to mic jack.

The record volume from my LP player is at maxiumum volume and I have the mic input turned all the way down. How do i turn the input record volume down?

Try using the Line In jack, and turn down the output from your receiver.

This is assuming you have a desktop and not a laptop. you didn't say.

Huh? If you are doing that, you may have already blown your audio card or chip. Is that truly how you are set up?

If you meant to say that the play (output) volume is turned all the way down and it is still too loud, then you might need to make some Windows adjustments depending on XP or Vista.

As above, line in would be the best IF you have that input jack.

For XP:
