WMA files - HELP!

porky777

Question

I'm not sure if i'm doing something wrong, but i'm trying to build a dvd from a few .wma files, but as soon as i add one it sjow that the project size is over the 4.7 limit. Each file is appx 185 meg and only 640x480. I've tried adjusting the project setting to good quality instead of best, but it makes no difference. I'm assuming that Roxio will convert them to mpeg2, but is this file size situation normal for such small files? Is there a step in here i'm missing?

Thanks all

Perfectly normal… The project size is an estimate based on the Time of your project rendered at the Encoding rate. A 4.7gb DVD will hold about 1 hour at Best quality after being rendered to DVD format.

You can tinker with encoding rate in MyDVD (Project Settings) but what most of us do is Burn to File rather than disc.

This creates an ISO file which we burn using Disc Copier. DC will offer to re-render to fit the DVD and does a very nice job of it.
