Making An Audio Cd From Slideshow Music

getting creative

Question

I made a slide show and will be showing it at a large party. I don't like the sound quality from my projector so the DJ suggested making a cd or ipod playlist of the songs. I did some splicing of the music and want to preserve that. I used the music and special effects sound lines. How can i get all the background music exactly the way it plays on the slideshow onto a cd or playlist? Thanks, Betsy

If you made the slide show in Video Wave, load the project and go above the preview window and chose "Output as". Select mpg2 (or AVI) file. After it encodes, go to Media Manager and navigate to the file. Right click on it and select export audio (or save or whatever the command is" Output it to an mp3 file. Once that is done, you can put it on your IPod or onto a CD.

If you didn't make the slide show in Video Wave, post what you used and there will be similar instructions. Saving the file will not allow you to extract the audio. It has to be in a video type format (mpg, AVI, etc.)
