Creator 2009 Install Problems

I have contacted the online help (CHAT) with no help... They had me open a ticket 4 days ago and nothing has been done.

 

I have called the phone number and can not get through to support.

 

My problem:

 

I purchased creator 2009 online and downloaded the two files via the download manager process (File1 - FN561A50R13_Creator2009_11.0.exe /// file 2 - FP20FZS0SQA_EMC11Content_7Lang.exe)

 

I had the box checked to run when finished downloading... nothing happened.

 

When I click the files it opens a window briefly then closes. I do not get any error messages.

 

I have a clean version of windows XP installed on my PC (with all updates) that was done 3 days ago.

 

I turned off virsus and firewall protection on the download and install process - that did not help

 

I did the clean install process just to be sure - that did not help.

 

I made sure I have milcore.dll on my computer (system 32 folder) - still no luck

 

I made sure I do not have net 3.5 on my computer - I do not and still no luck.

 

Does any one have any ideas? I hope this is a simple issue that can be fixed.

Try opening the two files with winrar or winzip (they're self-extracting archives) and extract the contents to temporary folders anywhere on the hard drive.

 

Run setup.exe from there - if it fails to extract, you may have a corrupt download
