Burning A Dvd With An External Drive

I have been trying to burn a DVD with an external DVD burner (Kanguru QS2), but it hangs up when it tries to write a lead out. I can burn using Disk Utility and another program (Dragon Burn), but I haven't been able to use the external drive for toast (the internal works ok). Anyone else had the same problems?

I've read similar posts where burns stall at the end with Toast but not with Disk Utility. You might try a different brand of media. You also might try saving as disc image and then burning the disc image using the Image File setting in the Copy window and/or burn at a speed slower than Best (choose the speed after the disc is inserted).
