Converting Dmg Images To Ddp Or Cmf (dlt)

Jonukas

Question

Is there any tool in Toast (or any other Mac product) to convert a DMG image file to DDP for sending to a DVD replication facility? I see that DVD Studio Pro does it, but it doesn't help me if I already have the DMG. I'm not doing a video DVD, just data (commercial software).

I assume I'd also need to do this on an authoring drive/media, not a general drive/media.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not familiar with DDP and I've never seen it mentioned along with Toast. When Toast creates a data disc image it uses the extension .toast, by the way. A .toast disc image mounts as a disc icon rather than as a hard drive icon the way .dmg image files mount (at least when using Toast's Mount It contextual menu for mounting the image file). I don't know if any of this is of help, but it's all I know. Oh yes, Toast can create the DVD disc image in HFS+ and ISO 9660 format or as DVD-Rom (UDF) format. The same is true with Toast 8, 9 or 10 (and possibly 6 and 7).
