lunkered
Hiya, I'm loving the easy to use nature of DivX-to-DVD but I've got a small gripe. When I'm playing back the DVD I've created the rear channels of 5.1 are reversed. I know my Amp is setup correctly and original DVD's play correctly. What can I do to stop this? lunkered
Thanks for the replies. I've converted about 20 .avi files that have AC3 6 channel sound tracks using DivX-to-DVD and they have all converted to DVD with 5.1 sound tracks. My Amp displays what channels are on the disc and it shows 6 channels. I've ran tests with Dolby Digital and THX trailers and the 6 channels are independant. But the rear channels are reversed. sknis
What Roxio program are you using? Is it a mac program? or is it Sonic's DVDit Pro V6? If so, you'll get much better feedback if you go to the Sonic website and ask their technical support group. Thanks for the replies. tbrewst
If you use the Home app under Video there is a DivX to DVD creator.I've never used it but it's there.
sknis
I don't think EMC V/7.5 has 5.1; it changes audio to 2.1. The Sonic web site does indicate that DVDit Pro 6 has 5.1. That is why I don't think that the original poster used EMC 8. Of course I learn something surprising about this software almost daily. On DVDit Pro 6 Advanced Simulation Tools Advanced Transcoding Parameters Minimum and Maximum Bit-rate Controls Consumer Dolby Digital Stereo Encoding Professional Dolby Digital Stereo Encoding1 Professional Dolby Digital 5.1 Encoding2 Dolby Digital 5.1 Pass-Through Simulate Player’s Audio and Subtitle Button Simulate Player’s Aspect Ratio and Language Setting If you use the Home app under Video there is a DivX to DVD creator.I've never used it but it's there. lunkered
I'm using Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5 for Windows. If you go to Roxio Easy Media Creator Home it's under DVD. This forum has the application in it's description. EMC 7 / 7.5 / VideoWave 7 - DVD and Video Discussion covering all Easy Media Creator 7 DVD and video functions. This includes the following applications: - Capture - CinePlayer - Disc Copier (DVD-Video) - DivX-to-DVD Creator - DVD Builder - Roxio Player - VideoWave I've looked at upgrading to 8 but it doesn't look like it's got this application. tbrewst
I'll need to find a 5.1 download.I tried it and got ac3 out which is only 2.1 but I think the source was probably the same.Handy way to make dvd's though if you don't care about menus. lunkered
Try downloading the DivX test CD it has pretty much all types of DivX most I can't even play but it does have some 5.1 clips. http://divxtest.isstar.net/DivXTestCDv2.0.....surdvd.com.iso I used it to go and test out a DVD player I was thinking about buying.
