Toast Titanium 9

ober

Question

I purchased a new LaCie external burner that came with Toast 8 Titanium. I was trying to upgrade to Toast 9 titanium and it will not let me. When I get to the section that you need to register with your product key I type it in then it wont let me continue. The continue key just stays grey? I believe I have all the proper hard ware. I am running a new Mac Book Pro with OS X 10.5.6. Please help.................

If you haven't done so, download the Toast 9.0.4 update and use it rather than an earlier version of Toast 9. There shouldn't be any problem with having both Toast 8 and 9 on the Mac. Some users reported problems with Toast 8 and the new Macbook and Macbook Pro but Toast 9.0.4 seems to be working.

Any issue with Toast not accepting a registration key needs to be addressed by contacting Roxio customer service.

Just so that you are aware, upgrading from Toast 8 to Toast 9 needs a upgrade purchase. If you have purchased Toast 9 Titanium, then I suggest verify the supplied CDkey for Toast 9. If this purchase was done via Roxio online store then you can go to www.findmyorder.com/roxio and login with Order details to verify the Cdkey provided. However, if you are attempting to use Toast 8 Titanium Cdkey in Toast 9, it will now work.

I just tried to upgrade to Toast 9.0.5 and it blew my version of Toast 9.0.4 away and now I don't have any toast at all. It also gave me the message if I wanted to upgrade the older version I was installing with the newer that was already installed. What the heck??? Any way I can get my Toast back? I don't have my installation disks with me right now since I am in Florida for the Winter and don't go back home for a couple of more months. I can get my registration key code from Roxio though.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Move the existing Toast 9 folder to the trash and then drag in the new folder from the downloaded update. It contains everything that was in the existing Toast 9 folder.

I just rename the folder. In this case Toast 9.0.4 so 9.0.5 won't care. That way if something doesn't work I can go back. I do have time Machine but I still like to do this.
