cdanteek
Well really not much on details, If it fails there are details, I'm not there so you have to watch and report the details. If you don't want to, how could anyone help except guess. I guess that's the purpose of Jim's crystal ball pic, now that it hasn't solved anything maybe we should move on? When you put in the disk, it will go to auto-run and start the installation process. What you need to do is watch it, see what it is installing and see where it is when it stops installing (ie, installing EMC11 then it says rolling back). that is what they are looking for as far as information. Then when it is done rolling back, do any windows pop up giving you a message like unable to install blah blah blah? If they do, write down the error message and post it here. I know this is all very frustrating as I am going through the same thing. I have gone thru everything the Roxio techs told me and when that didn't work, I came here. So now I am running thru all of these suggestions and not having any luck so far but there are still some posts I haven't read, so keep trying. Thanks fore the come back, but I am not kidding when I say there is no error message. It seems to get snagged ot the "setup.exe". The message I get is that there was an error in the setup.exe and and do I want to notify microsoft of my problem. Which I do and that is the end of it. My laptop does not even read the disc when I put it in the drive. So I am inclined to think it is a bad disc. However the store I bought it from did not have any more but I will have to wait till they get more in (however long that may be). I have tried the manual download, and the clean download and tried loading each program by itself (not a good ideaI know)
