Vista Sp2 Beta Review

PC World has done a quick review of VISTA service pack 2 beta. No major bugs were encountered. One new item of interest for this community is that BLU-RAY burning has been added. "Mastered" and Live File System recording will be available.

The final version of sp2 is scheduled for first half of 2009.

I don't know if this qualifies as a major bug but on my install, IE8 won't connect (I can see the router, ping it but that's as far as it goes. Symantec AV won't connect to update - but Firefox connects and works (and lets me download so I manually updated the AV)

 

Go figger that one :lol:

I had it running on a system before updating to W7 beta and it was a quick easy install. One of the things the article talked about was it's BluRay support and BlueTooth improvements.

It was a faster update than Vista SP1 was for me and I noticed minor boot up speeds but not much else.
