Cd Spin Doctor Do Not Record Automatically

Chi

Question

In the latest Cd Spin doctor version which is delivered with toast 10 there is this button at the buttom of the start screen which says "start automatic recording" or "start instant recording" I do not really know what it says in the English version since I have the German one. Nothing happens when I click the button to record. This should be the button for immediate recording from streaming audio and from any other source.

I reported this to the Roxio support in Germany and they told me to uninstall and to reinstall toast 10 and to delete the files in the roxio folder which was in the library/application support folder. I did exactly what they suggested and nothing has changed. I can't record any streaming audio with this button. Am I doing something wrong? Nobody could answer in the discussion group here in Germany. I do not have an intel mac. It is a G5 imac. And the toast 10 is the Pro download version.

Thank you very much for answering if you can.

Can you list me the devices that appear under System Preferences --> Sound --> Output on your system please?

It would appear that if you venture further into CDSD6 you can define the audio capture device it installed and it will work from there. However having that quick record button is a definite want. And clearly since it is there should be fixed.

This coupled with the DVD shrinking aspect of Toast 10 not working is really dampening my joy at spending about 100 euros on the app. I expect it will eventually be patched but some feedback would go a long way to assuaging the annoyance.

The bottom button does not seem to be working. One user posted that it quit recording after about 30 seconds but another user and myself can't get the recording to start at all using that button. It does work to choose the top button and then click Advanced and choose the plug in as the input source.

There are other problems being reported with this version of Spin Doctor. Search this forum for more info.
