What application in RecordNow are you using?

Are the pictures on your hard drive?

Give us some details of what you are doing.

The above is assuming you have a DVD burner installed.... (many users post on here and they have a combo CD-RW-DVD ROM)

There are no separate applications in RecordNow apart from DLA and SBU, Tony. There are only the menu options for an Audio CD, a Data Disc, or Exact Copy. He has to be using Data Disc in the Home application.

I was just fishing!!!!!!!

when i open RecordNow, at the top it says: Philips DVD+RW 9 (E:). i have never burned a dvd. ihave burned cds before, and i was just trying to put all of my pictures on a dvd. i have approx. 3gb of pictures and a friend said that they would all fit on 1 dvd. the computer is approx. 4yrs. old and RecordNow came with it pre loaded. thanks

i can burn the pictures on a cd, no problem. when i try to do it on a dvd, it kicks it out and says to insert an appendable disc. the dvd discs are DVD-R if that makes a difference.

What is the id string of your burner? (right-click MyCompuer > Properties > Hardware > Device Manager > click on the'+' by the DVD/CD-ROM drive icon to expand it, and copy the id string - character for character, upper and lower case exactly, space for space.

i followed your instuctions and there are 2............. Philips DVD+RW DVD8601 right underneath that it reads,

Samsung DVD-ROM SD-616E

Try using some + media, the DVD drive that you have will not support burning DVD-R and DVD-RW

media. It will burn the DVD+RW,DVD+R, CD-R and CD-RW media.
