Crazy Dj
I have been trying to take my home movies from cassettes, but it always stops after recording about 30 seconds, even though I press capture all. Any help will be appreciated.
Jim_Hardin
We see this from time to time but I do not recall ever seeing a definitive answer??? You did not tell us what a cassette is or how you are connecting from it to your PC.
Crazy Dj
The thing is that it was working fine the other day. By cassette I meant a video camera cassette. The video camera i'm using is a Sony Digital 8 with 8mm video cassette, connected to the computer using a usb cable.

If you are capturing from a digital DV camcorder, you should be using a Firewire connection (as recommended by Roxio) since USB does not work well if at all. Since you are using Firewire, here is a small, free utility that will capture digital video to avi files. It captures you video to individual files based on the timestamp on the tape.
