Like the many many other users on this forum I have been really disappointed with the sloppy install program that Roxio has provided in Creator 2009. First when I installed it bombed out telling me something about EMC10. I checked and they had a hotfix which removed a registry entry. After that I was able to complete the installation which by the way is one of the longest install programs in history. It is dead slow.
Anyways after installing, I clicked on the newly created desktop icon and yup, it told me that it could not find RoxioCentralFX.exe. So I uninstalled and re-installed and onec again the same problem. Other users have said that they found this file but it was in the wrong folder. In my case, the file was nowhere to be found. So after multiple uninstalls and various attempts to play with the Net3.5 and 3.0 uninstalls nothing worked. Each time the same story. It could not find the Roxiocentralfx.exe file.
So I figured I would try one more time. Uninstalled everything and installed again. But no Roxiocentralfx.exe file again. So I did a search on the CD itself. In the RoxioCentral_4x folder there is a file called RCPROD. I ran this file and guess what. It correctly installed the missing RoxioCentralFX.exe file and put it in the correct folder and my program was now working fine.
