Can I Just Delete Downloaded Update (not Installed Yet)

Katie S.

Question

Hello,

Last night I was accessing Label Creator in EMC 10 and received a message that a critical update was available. After going to the Roxio website, I found and downloaded 2 very large files. (RoxioWinOnCDMediaSuitev10.1_FA78B030W13 and OnCDMediaSuitev10ContentCD_3833B030VLW). I have not installed either of these. Should I install them? If not, can I just delete the files from my desk top? My version of EMC 10 is: 1.0.044, build: 100B44B, R03.

Waiting for your advice. Thanks

If it ain't broke don't update.

If the above is true, you may want to move the updates from your Desktop and put them in a new folder called EMC 10 updates, just in case you need them at some time in the future.

If those are really WINONCD updates, be very careful.

WinOnCD is the German version of Easy Media Creator, so its updaters are likely to make German text and captions display in places where you currently have English, if they will actually run for you.
