Toast Titanium 7 On Os 10.5.6

Stacy Phillips

Question

I copied a cd on toast titanium 7 then dropped in a blank to make a copy.

To my horror a grey-ish "curtain" descended across the monitor, dimming the screen. After a few seconds a dialog box in several languages came up "You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button or press restart." I pressed the power button which shut it down. Started it in about 10 minutes and things SEEM fine.

What happened? This was a new and scary thing for me. Please help. I'm never opening toast 7 again.

Your computer apparently crashed with a "kernel panic". It should be OK, since a disk check procedure generally runs at startup after a forced shutdown.

I wouldn't use anything earlier than Toast 9 with Mac OS 10.5. You might get Toast 8 to work, but I'm sure it's no longer supported. Toast 7 is from 2005, and it was designed for Mac OS 10.3 and 10.4.
