No Sound In My Dvd?

I was using roxio toaster and burning to avi xvid movies to one dvd. It gave me a dialog box which said i was mixing ntsc and pal in one disc i clicked ok.

 

it went on to create the disc but when it was done i put it into my dvd player and it played but the sound didnt work??

i put in the cd in my mac and the sound of the movie still doesnt work?

anyone help?

You probably need to install the Perian codec available at www.perian.org .

no... /i used vlc and if vlc cant play it... probably nothing can.

plus the point was to burn it onto dvd so i could watch it on big screen.

I think you misunderstood me. You need to install Perian before you have Toast encode the video DVD. It is not a playback issue but an encoding issue in which the source AVI has an audio codec not built in to QuickTime, so Perian takes care of that.
